              Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems - Part G (G3) 

Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems has for many years been known as Unvented or G3 certification however the new Approved Document to Part G of the Building Regulations now applies to ALL domestic hot water storage systems. 
 
This course is a legal requirement for heating engineers or plumbers looking to fit unvented hot water systems at and above 15lt in capacity. This course is a new course and has replaced the old Unvented Hot Water Systems course with the updates to Building Regulations. By undertaking training in Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems, you no longer need to contact your local Building Control Officer to approve your work. This course is for installers who wish to install Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems and join a Competent Persons’ Scheme which will allow the self-certification of installations.You will be recognised as being competent to design, install, service and maintain Unvented Systems and can therefore self-certify your work. 
 
The pre-requisite for attending the course is a recognised trade qualification or working towards one or a number of years of experience of working in the plumbing or heating industry 
 
The cost of the course includes training, assessment, the certification fee and a course manual. You must have at least two years experince to be able to complete the course.

This training course covers all the theory and legislation required to be deemed as competent, the course is delivered over 4 modules and has 3 assessments which must be passed to successfully complete the certificate. 
 
Module 1 - Vented and unvented hot water systems and their operating principles 
 
Module 2 - Design and Installation of vented and unvented 
 
Module 3 - Maintenance of vented and unvented hot water systems 
 
Module 4 - Other applicable building regulations 
 
A learner pack will be issued to you ahead of the course as some pre-reading is recommended.
